Es wurde eine Sicherheitslücke entdeckt, durch die ein authentifizierter lokaler Angreifer möglicherweise in ein Windows-System eindringen und die Steuerung übernehmen kann.

Das Sicherheitsupdate behebt die Sicherheitsanfälligkeit, indem geändert wird, wie der Client / Server Run-time Subsystem (CSRSS) Inter-Prozess-Gerät Ereignismeldung Berechtigungen wertet.

Dieses Sicherheitsupdate wird für Internet Explorer 6 ,Internet Explorer 7, Internet Explorer 8 und Internet Explorer 9 als Kritisch und für Internet Explorer 6 auf Windows-Servern als Hoch eingestuft.

Das Update behebt die Sicherheitsanfälligkeiten, indem geändert wird, wie Internet Explorer Objekte im Speicher und JavaScript-Ereignishandler verarbeitet, Daten während bestimmter Prozesse darstellt, Cookiedateien verwaltet und auf Dateien zugreift, die auf dem lokalen Computer gespeichert sind, und wie der Telnethandler die zugeordnete Anwendung ausführt.
